So this plate heat exchanger has failed because the pressure of the boiler kept rising, indicating that the seperation between hot water and heating system water had been compromised. This can only really happen in the heat exchanger. So I’ll show you a few tests I’ve done to prove it. Then change the heat exchanger, then take the old one back to the shed to cut it in half and prove it. I’ll also talk about descaling if your hot water pressure has got low.
