Sioux Chief Saddle Valve Installation? Not quite I’m not a fan of saddle valves for a couple of reasons. A. They suck and B. they’re not legal to use in most locations, they’re restrictive, prone to failure, etc. Shall I go On?
Actually, the Sioux Chief Valve is not a saddle valve, it’s a combination compression, and ball valve that’s not restrictive and is an easy alternative to the dreaded saddle valve. It comes in a few different sizes for different applications.
They’re also available for copper sweat applications giving you more choices. I’ll leave a PDF specification sheet in the description for you to review. If you’re considering installing a saddle valve, watch this video before doing so. The Sioux Chief Valve solution is a better choice!
